Bio

Kevin Bruchert has been writing and recording music since he was a high school student in Northwest New Jersey in the early 90’s. Playing keyboard and guitar in bands and leading songs at church prepared the way for him to grow in his craft. After interning and working on staff at various studios in New Jersey and New York, Kevin opened his first studio, Viking Studios, in 2003 in Medina, New York..

These early years saw Kevin working with artists like Down to Earth Approach, Poor Man’s Riches, Abandon and The Roosevelts (TN), as well as touring extensively in his own band, Mending Point.  Kevin partnered with independent Christian rock label, Word of Mouth Records where several singles from label artists made their way to the top of the R&R Christian Rock Radio charts.

After a short stop in Richmond, Virginia in 2007, Kevin moved to Nashville, TN in 2008 and quickly found himself at the helm producing projects with The Glorious Unseen, The Ember Days and Jessa Anderson.  In 2010, Abandon was nominated for a Dove Award for best Christian Rock Album of the Year  on their recording ‘Searchlights’.  Kevin co-wrote the song ‘Your Love Lifts Me Up’ with the band prior to the recording.  In 2011, the band Royal Tailor was nominated for a Grammy Award for CCM Album of the Year for their recording ‘Black and White’.  Kevin co-wrote the song ‘Hope’ for that recording.

While rubbing shoulders with the best talent in the country was fun, Kevin and his family decided to spend a season settling down to raise their kids in South Carolina in 2012.  Kevin became a music pastor and continued to record music.  In 2013, Kevin began to work and co-write songs with independent artist Sara Burns, one of Kevin’s most defining relationships as a producer.  During this season, Kevin also produced and mixed projects for Hello Kelly, Justin Reynolds, Judah Leon and Resonate Worship.

During the wrapping up of recording Sara Burns sophomore full length, “Gypsy” at GCR Studios in Buffalo, NY, Kevin and his family found their way to Gainesville, Florida in 2018.  Continuing his work in the church as a music pastor, everything changed during the great pandemic of 2020 when Kevin was catapulted into production work again.  Over the last few years, Kevin has invested heavily into the music and production scene in GNV.  This city has brought to life such greats as Tom Petty, Bo Diddley, Less Than Jake and so many more, Kevin has already produced work with locals Austin Brockner, Wild Pines, Haylin Watkins, Trustfall, Bad Dog, and some regional and national acts like Tides, The Lightworkers and The Royal Halls.  Gainesville has such a bright future as a creative center and Kevin has found himself in the middle of an emerging music scene.

The future is looking brighter than ever as Kevin is experiencing a creative renaissance. Building community through collaboration is at the center of his vision for that future.  Bringing together three decades of experience to serve projects with care and focus, Kevin is positioned to bring excellent production to his clients across a wide variety of genres and services.
