It’s been a while since our last update. Want to catch you up on all of the happenings here. It’s been a busy year! In addition to the excellent live and studio production work that’re known for, this past year, we ventured into offering educational classes and workshops. Our hope is to equip future generations of audio professionals with the skills and experiences they need to create the best experiences and outcomes possible.
- We have completed a full year’s cycle of audio production classes. Intro to Audio Production in the fall. Next Level Audio Production in the spring. And then we offered an exclusive expert level hands-on cohort in the summer where we spent 4 of the class weeks hanging out at Pulp Arts. Classes have already begun for Intro to Audio Production as we start our second cycle of classes.
- Our first Masterclass Workshop is coming up in October focusing on drumming. Four local professionals will share their tips and tricks and help encourage better drumming in GNV!
- This is our sixth season supporting UltraTechnologies at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium managing audio in house for all of the Florida Gator home football games this season.
- Check out Andrea Kay’s new single “My Name”. Recorded at one of our songwriter grab bag sessions at Pulp Arts. Co-written, produced and mixed by yours truly.
- New 4 Song EP is out now by Crucial Fix titled “The Fix is In”
- Skate Punk enthusiasts will gush over The Valterra Dragons new EP “All That We Know”. Fronted by Against All Authority’s Danny Lore. Recorded by KB – Mixed at The Blasting Room.
- This past year we opened our second recording room at KB Pro. Our drum tracking room was completed back in February and has been busy busy busy. We also purchased a lot of drums. Our PDP Concept Maple kit has several shell sizes to choose from to make the perfect kit for whatever we need.
- Trustfall is in production with about 7 new songs right now. Recorded at Pulp Arts and Jam Band Studios, these new songs absolutely take things up a notch and I can’t wait for you to hear them!
- Houston Keen’s new EP “God’s Waiting Room” is slated for release this October. Extremely proud of this project. Completely recorded and mixed at KB Pro and mastered artfully by our friend Dan Shike at Tone and Volume Mastering. Check this one out!
- Aaron Bryan Connell released new original country music featuring Gary Morse on pedal steel.
- Faery Behavior released a single titled “Still Want You” as part of our songwriter grab bag sessions.
- Line Break’s new full length is slowly being released as the first singles are hitting stream. Mixing this recording was a treat!
- A three volume compilation of original protest music written by Gainesville musical artists is in the works. This project will feature songs by Thomas Allain, Mason Via, Dude Chill, Persons Unknown, Kyle Keller, Bohemian Sunshine, Sam Cone, Alex Willow, Benny Cannon, TORO, Damsel and more.
- Mixes a tune for the new Thomas Allain full length titled Words I’ve Learned to Say. The tune “Plastic Cup” was a joy to mix and make happen with Thomas!
